Finally a title...

I finally have a title for my September American. We played name that book back before Thanksgiving. Do you remember? Kathleen has chosen TEXAS HEIR. What do you think?

This story is about the plane crash in west Texas. The hero is the heir to a chain of department stores. The heroine works for him and has been in love with him for a long time. He’s engaged to someone else. The plane crash suddenly changes everything as they are the only two survivors. Out in the middle of nowhere they are no longer boss and employee. They are two people trying to survive and discovering love in the most unexpected way.

Does the title fit? The original title was DOWN IN TEXAS, but that title had been used recently. I really liked DOWN IN TEXAS but TEXAS HEIR has grown on me. Yes, I think I like it.

What do you think?

Since you can't use DOWN IN TEXAS I like TEXAS HEIR ok. But I like DIT better.

I too like the title. I recently read the 5 Texas Hold'Em book. Texas Bluff was a really good ending to it. Man did you ever throw a lot of stuff at Luke. What a great story

Elen,
I really wanted DIT for the title, but it was no since it had been used recently. I send in all the titles everyone had given me on this blog and added more. Thank you. Everyones input helped a lot. The result was Texas Heir. Like I said, it took some getting used to. I'm liking it fine now. I hope readers do, too.

Oh, Christa, thank you so much. You just made my whole day.
As I was writing Texas Bluff I kept thinking poor Luke. This is too much for one man to handle. But the story and characters took over and it unfolded just the way you read it. Poor tough-as-rawhide Luke has become one of my favorite characters.
Thank you for reading the Texas Hold 'Em books. We had a blast creating them. And I'm so happy you enjoyed them, especially the ending.

I really like Texas Heir. Short, sweet, and invites investigating, just like a good title should. Congrats on the upcoming release. :)

Sarita,
Thank you. That really makes me feel better.
And I really love your name - a heroine type name.
