Favorite characters

YAY! I remembered my blog day before it passed this time! I’ve been having a busy summer – with deadlines, kids home and the writers conference in Orlando. At the Harlequin party during the conference, I received a pin for having 25 books published with them. That was such a thrill and an honor. My upcoming September Harlequin American SINGLE DAD SHERIFF is my 26th, and one of my favorite books I’ve written. There’s a little scene stealer that takes over the book from the first chapter right through to the epilogue. Tommy Phillips is definitely a favorite character of mine and quite a character.

I’d love to hear about your favorite characters – real or fictional. Leave a comment and I’ll draw a couple of winners for signed copies of my April Harlequin American, HIS BABY SURPRISE.

Hope you’re all having a great summer.
Happy Reading!
Lisa

I think one of my favourite characters is Noah from The Notebook. He's so tortured, and all he wants is to be loved by the woman of his dreams. *Big sigh*.

My favorite characters are Eve and Roarke from J.D. Robb's In Death Series. I can't get enough of them.

I quite enjoyed the main character of Beth Bolton in Lesley Pearse's GYPSY. The story followed Beth, as well as her friends and family, around the world during gold rush days, beginning when she was 15 years of age. I could well imagine the hard times they endured just to survive.

Call me strange but this reverts me back to my childhood where my favourite character was definitely Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

My favorite character - without any doubt - is Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With The Wind...

I'm assuming you don't want me to admit to my crush on Pooh Bear. (the real Pooh, not the Disney variety!)

I think my favorite character at the moment - and possibly because I based my rancher brother, Luke O'Malley from Colorado Cowboy, on his gorgeous looks - is Det. Elliott Stabler (Chris Meloni) from Law & Order SVU - yum! there's a nekked pic of him on the net too if you go searching google images :-)
But as a character, I admire his strength, his devotion to his family, his protectiveness and his willingness to put his life on the line for what he believes in.
What a guy!
