They say good things come in threes, and that’s certainly true for me this month!
I’ve just received the cover for my third Harlequin American Romance, FAMILY MATTERS. Isn’t it fabulous?
And in celebration of the book’s October, 2010 publication date, I’m doing three things:
* revamping my website: http://barbarawhitedaille.com
* starting a blog: http://barbarawhitedaille.com/blog
* giving away a copy of one of my backlist titles to one lucky reader of my blog post here
This is the deal:
The drawing is a special opportunity for visitors to my Harlequin American Romance blog post for today. If you’re reading this post on July 17th, that would include you. ;-)
In order to have your name entered in the drawing, please leave a comment here at the Harlequin American Romance blog by midnight Blogger time on July 17th. Also, please visit my website at http://barbarawhitedaille.com by midnight Blogger time on July 17th.
Take a look at the excerpts for my first two books, THE SHERIFF'S SON and COURT ME, COWBOY. Send me an e-mail from my website, letting me know which book you would prefer IF your name is drawn—and why.
And, of course, feel free to take a look around my website and blog while you’re there. ;-)
One lucky winner’s name will be drawn and the name announced here at the blog on the Open date of July 20th.
Remember, this drawing is based on comments dated July 17th only.
And please remember to BOTH comment here at the Harlequin American Romance blog AND send an e-mail from my website in order to have your name entered into the drawing.
Thanks a bunch, and good luck!
All my best to you,
Barbara

I'm first! Unless someone else is typing at the same time and is faster than I am.
Love the cover and will go to your website and read the excerpts. I'm feeling lucky.
Edie - I'm glad you're first!
Thanks so much for your kind words and for checking out the site. Hope you like it!
And I wish you--and everyone who enters--the best of luck in the drawing.
Barbara
See what happens when you sleep in... LOL
You were blessed by the cover gods!
I'm running over to the website now... maybe I'll beat Edie there....(grin...)
Just came over from the Club 100 group :) Lovely new website, I like the flowers!
Lynn - you've gotta be quick to beat Edie! LOL
Hope you've got better luck getting to the website.
But, hey--for the drawing, it's equal opportunity! ;-)
And thanks for the comment--yes, the cover gods were good to me. It's been that way with all *three* of my books, and I'm soooo thankful!
Barbara
Barb - thank you for stopping by!
I'm so glad you made it. With your different time zone, I was worried you might not see the notice till tomorrow. LOL
And yes, the flowers were a lucky hit, making the website and my new cover go together beautifully.
Barbara
Barbara, this is a fabulous cover. You must be thrilled!
Michelle - you're so right! I really hit it lucky.
The heroine has red hair, the hero's a hottie.
And the *flowers*! Don't forget the flowers! LOL
Thanks a bunch.
Barbara
LOL, I was just going to say that I want to know how to make my flowers look that pretty and healthy.
Pretty pretty pretty. Popping over to the website now!
To anyone who has read this far:
Unfortunately, I'm now leaving for the day, but I'll be back tonight to read messages.
Keep those comments--and drawing entries--coming!
Barbara
the book cover is such a relaxing scene; it's lovely.
Heading over to check out the 2 books.
Absolutely beautiful cover, Barbara, and as I mentioned earlier - it is so in tune with your wholesome family theme.
You lucked out.
Barbara - Congrats on the new release! I really admire how you hung in there during the long gap between books.
The book cover is beautiful!
Oooh...I love a contest. I'll be going straight from here to your blog, Barbara.
Congrats on the book cover. It is sigh-worthy.
Barbara, love the cover of Family Matters, that your website and blog reflect the flowers. What a wonderful touch. Also the lake scene. So relaxing. Can't wait to read your newest book!
Like everyone else, I love the cover, plus love the premise. I always like when the hero and heroine are fighting for what they think is right, but are on opposite sides of the fence. Love the opening scene you have excerpted on the brand new website/blog too! Nice job! (Can a Facebook debut be not far off? Let me know! :) )
It is a great cover. I'm on my way to your website now. I'll look forward to reading your latest.
Barbara, you can't get much more romantic than a picnic setting by the lake. Well, of course the hunk does help. Love the cover.
Barbara
The cover is beautiful! Congrats on the new release. I'm heading on over to your website now.
Maryanne
Jumping back in to e-mails again.
Thanks for all the comments!
Kris, I don't have a green thumb at all, so that's a very good question about those flowers. LOL
See you at the website in a few! ;-)
Barbara
Robyn - hi. The cover *is* relaxing, isn't it?
Maybe it'll bring a little bit of spring/summer into people's cooler fall weather when it comes out in October.
Thanks for pointing that out!
Barbara
Hi, Liz - thank you for this comment, and again for your previous one.
They mean a lot to me, because you picked up on a big part of what I was going for with the website.
The cover hits my mark, too--though that was just great good luck for me. ;-)
Barbara
Gail, thanks for the congrats!
It *has* been a long road for me recently. If you've read--or will read--the letter on my website, you'll see that life tends to send me on long trips. LOL
I'm thrilled to have FAMILY MATTERS coming out in October and an as-yet-untitled fourth book in mid-2011.
I'm in this for the long haul, and I hope there's a never-ending road ahead of me.
Barbara
Katarina - thank you so much!
I feel the same about the cover, but I'm glad to have input, because I may not be the most unbiased person about it. LOL
Barbara
Marcy - oooh back at you! I love that: "sigh-worthy."
The relaxing scene, the pretty flowers, the hunky hero... I think they *do* all add up to one great package.
And I thank you and everyone here for celebrating that with me today!
Barbara
Carol - as always, thank you for your support.
I hope you enjoy the book. All my stories are special to me, but I had extra fun with this one!
Barbara
Debbie - in the previous comment I'd said I had a lot of fun with FAMILY MATTERS. Part of the reason for that is just what you said: a hero and heroine who support very strong causes...that just happen to be totally opposite. LOL
As for Facebook, you'll be sorry you mentioned it. ;-) Look for me soon.
Barbara
Linda - thank you!
I appreciate your support and hope you enjoy this latest book.
Giving back is what it's all about for me: I can only hope readers get some of the same pleasure from my stories as *I* get from other writers' books.
Barbara
June - it sure does say romance, doesn't it?
But, okay, I'll admit--the hunky hero just *might* have something to do with that. LOL
Thanks!
Barbara
Maryanne - you made it here--yay!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your support.
Will "see" you at the website.
Barbara
Beautiful cover, Barbara !
You are blessed!
~~Angi
Angi - thanks for stopping in.
And you're soooo right! I agree every time I look at the cover.
Barbara
Congratulations.
Varina - thanks so much!
Barbara
Thank you to everyone who stopped by my blog here on the 17th and who also visited my brand-new website.
As promised, I’ve had one name drawn for a winner who will receive a copy of one of my backlist books.
And the winner is...
Lynn!
Lynn, to claim your copy of COURT ME, COWBOY, please stop by my website and send me your mailing address. Thanks!
