HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi everyone!

Well, today's post kind of snuck up on me, so I don't have anything very interesting to say. Did everyone have a nice New Year?

Last night we watched my daughter cheer. Today I'm hoping we'll finally go to the movies. I want to see Tom Cruise's new one. Has anyone seen it? Tonight is church. Tomorrow will be tough--we're going to have to get organized. That will involve lots of laundry, homework, nagging, and packing. On Monday, the kids will go back to school, my husband will fly out of town, and I'll need to wake up at six again.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and a great Monday morning, too.

I haven't seen the new Tom Cruise movie, but I read a review that commented Tom didn't have an accent like the character should have and they said even if he faked a British one, he still couldn't pull it off. Plus, it was just one person's opinion so I hope it doesn't stop you from seeing it! This movie has been a long time coming so hopefully it's worth the wait.
I was on vacation myself over the holidays and went back to work yesterday. Got my feet wet after being off for 13 days, then I got to have two more off!
Happy New Year!

Hi Marcie!
Good for you for taking a real vacation! And how nice to have a few days off right away.
We did go to Valkyrie and loved it. It was one of the few movies I've seen lately where I wasn't trying to look at my watch. No, Tom Cruise didn't sound German, but that was just fine with me. I still thought he did a good job.

Well, hope you have a nice Sunday.

Another month before my kids go back to school, so I'm in holiday mode for a while longer and it's great. Which means more reading, too. All the best for the year ahead, Shelley.

Shelley, I went to see Valkyrie because my mom wanted to, although I had no desire to see it. (I thought she'd want to see something cheerful. lol) Wound up taking my dh and son. It was really good. I'm glad I didn't miss it, and I'm thankful Cruise didn't try to do an accent. It would have been distracting. Now I'm trying to catch the documentary on the History Channel.
