While fall is my favorite season, there are some things about summer that simply can't be beat...
*Uninterrupted time with the kids
*Lazy mornings
*Vacation
*Swimming
*Barbecues
But that's not all. You see, as I've gotten older, I've come to realize my favorite part of summer is the simple fact that there's more time to read. And read, I have. Eight novels in fact (the most recent of those being 400 + pages and consumed in less than 12 hours). :)
My genre of choice this summer? Romance and women's fiction. Time and time again.
One of my summer reads this year posed an interesting question I thought would be fun to pose, in turn, to all of you...
Do you think love just happens? Or do you think love is a choice one makes?
Thoughts? Examples?

Tough question, Laura. I love it when the characters in the book I'm reading feel "the spark" and, despite their best efforts not to fan that fire, it grows.
Great question. As a shades of gray person, much to my critique partners frustration, I think it takes both. You have to meet the right person or really, what's the use? But once you establish that there is enough there to be worth the chance, you have to both want it to work and put effort into making it happen. How's that for straddling the fence? Ha!
I think that's a good straddle, Pamela!
And Leigh, I like that part, too! :)
I believe the same as Pamela. After you meet the right person you have to work at making love work.
I'm a straddler also. I believe in the spark. The magic that draws you together. But there are just times when the choice holds you there. I still get that thrill when I look at my hubby. But there are days....well, I think we've all been there.
Love just happens. But it's your choice to follow through and risk your heart.
I agree with Marcie, love just happens, just like it happened to me. I was sooooooo heart broken by my ex and i told myself I would not love again. And then this gorgerous guy walk in my life, brought the keys to all the door that i closed.
Amazingrose, I LOVE what you just said...about him bringing the keys to all the doors you'd closed. VERY VERY nice!
Thank Laura...
