I never wore one, but I did think they looked comfortable.

Seems like many teenagers had the same idea with the "dressed-down" look. ;)

Thanks for posting.

BarbaraBarbara White Daillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07493545252673453037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37809871.post-86725536599679221802011-10-17T21:00:28.675-05:002011-10-17T21:00:28.675-05:00Cynthia - I'll bet you did look awesome. If the weather was in between, my mom would have us put sweats on under our costumes. In fact, I think I wore a sweatshirt under my ball gown, which gave it a completely different look. Veil for head and under chin. I looked awesome.

What cracks me up is remembering the trick-or-treating wearing coats (it was cold) so no one even saw the costumes. A little extra makeup.

But the easiest was a bunny - sweats, a cotton ball for a tail and those bunny ears on a headband. That was it, folks. And it adds a whole new meaning to comfortable.Pamela Stonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07673215467505231212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37809871.post-11447807855786549702011-10-17T15:14:41.356-05:002011-10-17T15:14:41.356-05:00Linda - I'm shuddering over the mummy costume....Linda - I'm shuddering over the mummy costume. What a disaster! LOL

No, I never knew about the gum, but it sounds like it would've been perfect.

As for Yoda, he's one of my all-time favorites, too! I have a few photos of him around my office and his encouraging words--"Do or do not. There is no try."--on my bulletin board.

I can just imagine your DGS in the costume!

Thanks for sharing.

BarbaraBarbara White Daillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07493545252673453037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37809871.post-62885539753027535472011-10-17T14:56:15.778-05:002011-10-17T14:56:15.778-05:00My fav would have to be Yoda. Being so small, he looked just like Yoda, who also happens to be one of my all time fav characters.

I was a hobo in high school, too. Did you ever use that Black Cat, licorice gum, to remove your front teeth? Too ugly!

Once I went as a mummy and wound myself up completely in forty yards of cheescloth. And found out I couldn't go to the bathroom... oh no!linda snoreply@blogger.com
